How is your summer going? Mine has been busy with plans I made, and unexpected activities/happenings thrown in there just for fun(?). Well, not all of them have been fun, but it’s all panned out okay so no complaints, really. One thing that hasn’t panned out as I expected (and that’s okay!) is one of the projects I’ve been working on for a while now.
You all have probably seen me mention my work-in-progress lovingly codenamed True You. Well, I’m shelving it for a while. I know, sounds so dramatic right? See, I finished the first draft, sent it to beta readers, got their feedback, and made some really great revisions I love. I like the story, the characters—but something isn’t right, and when I try to figure out what that something is and fix it, it just gets worse. My mental health started to suffer because I was forcing it. So I’ve decided to let it sit for a spell until inspiration strikes. Sometimes you just gotta take a step back, ya know? That’s one of the best parts of being an indie author—I can do what I want!
Anyway, this is actually good news for you because it means I have more time to work on Blood Bond to get it ready for release on November 1st! (Did you see my announcement on Instagram?
