Lately I’ve been putting in some hours working on my next project, which takes place in The Cloaked Series universe. Which is probably why I found myself looking through my pics from my trip to New Orleans last fall and realizing I didn’t post almost any of them! (I was prepping hard for the release of Blood Bond at the time, which has nothing to do with New Orleans, so I can’t really blame myself.) I’m going to be sharing plenty of them on social media (mostly Instagram), but I also built a gallery here on the website (and a sampling below!), so go take a look at that if you want some Cloak’s Shadow scenery 🙂
This was my first time every stepping foot in New Orleans, and I gotta say it was exactly what I’d hoped it would be. Completely perfect for Scott, Wren, Callum and Zander. Spooky, friendly, warm and welcoming. Most of the pics below were taken in Algiers Point (where Scott and Callum live–plus Zander in The Medium’s Possession) and that whole neighborhood was just as perfect as New Orleans proper. A little sleepier than I anticipated but really lovely. It was such an incredible trip, walking around and imagining Zander + Callum hitting up the local coffee joint; passing by a tattoo shop and wondering if that’s the one Scott might have worked at.
It was all amazing–and it was all a little spooky too! I shared one video on IG a couple of weeks back where there are 2 light orbs dancing down the sidewalk above some people walking in the distance. Light distortions? Probably. But maybe not?? Give it a watch and tell me what you think! Also, did you see the reel I did with my cousin about our trip to the cemetery (when pics my cousin didn’t take just appeared on her phone of one particular grave?? 😱) Go watch that one too. I’ve never had an actual run in with a ghost (even though the rest of my family has!) so these two videos are the closest I’ve come.
