If you follow me on social media, you probably saw me posting like a MAD WOMAN during my trip to LA a couple of weeks ago. A selection of my author besties and I went on a retreat in Los Angeles where we got to speak at—wait for it—THE RIPPED BODICE! *cue screams and squees* 

It was all in celebration of Jen Comfort’s new release, Midnight Duet (more on that below—it’s so good ya’ll, and I’m not just saying that because Jen is a friend.) 

For those of you who don’t know, The Ripped Bodice is a PREMIER Romance genre bookstore, located in Culver City, CA. Jen, who’s release party was being hosted there, was kind enough to host a panel, and I got to be one of the lucky authors on that stage. *more screams and squees*

Jen Comfort, Jo Segura, and (fellow indie author) Jasmine Silvera were up there with me, where we talked about Shameless Heroines, how we represent sex and body positivity in our stories, and how our heroines embody shamelessness in varied and diverse ways. It was a dream come true. 

The Ripped Bodice was such a bright, joyful place. I can’t wait to go back. If you’re ever in LA, I highly recommend swinging into Culver City and making a stop there.
