Hello my friends!
You might have noticed some cosmetic changes around here and on my social media. There are more small changes coming (including a reorg of the website in the short term, and a total website redesign on the longterm plan) but now felt like the right time to officially introduce my new branding:
All of my stories have three things in common:
- The juxtaposition of darkness vs. light: Think Drake’s internal struggle vs. the bright love he has for Leah; think Zander’s love for her family that led her to be tortured by an invisible evil that almost ended her life–and the love that helped save her.
- Magic: Wren + Abby’s commingled power; Cyvin’s ability to sense a person’s health and emotions; Leah’s uncanny ability to know when she’s about to be in danger.
- Spicy depictions of passion: When Leah stepped onto the blanket Drake laid out on the desert floor; Zander’s back against a library bookshelf; Luceam’s desperation to have Cyvin’s skin against hers
I also write stories where men and women fall in love, and stories where women fall in love with other women. And while that’s never struck me as particularly revolutionary or “brandable” it occured to me recently that by not bringing that to the forefront of my online presence, readers who are looking for both het. and sapphic romance (primarily bi- and pan-sexual reader, like me!) might pass me by and never know it. My old tagline said it–my new branding shows it.
It’s the classic “show, don’t tell” scenario us writers are intimately familiar with ๐
Anyway, if you love stories with darkness + light, magic + spice, I hope you’ll dive into one of mine. Or, if you know somebody looking for an author who writes sapphic tales alongside het. ones because gender is a construct and love is love, pass them my URL! I’d be forever grateful.
