Big News!

ShiftSeriesRereleaseAnnouncement

IT’S HAPPENING!!

Yes, this is a re-release of my most popular series. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t some significant differences between these new versions and the originals. If you already love Leah and Drake, this new version will not leave you wanting. New readers will find an experience more in line with my original intent and concept.

Follow me on Facebook so you can tune in for my live stream chat on 10/27 at 10AM where I’ll answer your questions about the new editions, or any other questions you want to throw my way. 🙂  I can’t wait to tell you all about them!

New Novella, anyone?

Ferris’s birthday is this coming Monday, July 10th.

Happy Birthday Ferris!

Ferris_Collage

Ferris plays a pivotal role in the Shift Series, first as Leah’s initial connection to the shifter community, then later as Leah’s best friend, and finally as partner and girlfriend to Collin King. She is kind, smart, spunky, unassuming, and strong as hell.  Her backstory was one that evolved and revealed itself to me as I wrote each book, which made her a lot of fun (and a little challenging/nerve-wracking) to write. Her experiences during DRIFT, which readers don’t get to see, are enough to write an entire novel about all on their own. But, to be honest, I couldn’t write an entire novel that depressing.

So, how about a novella instead?

(It’s much less depressing as a novella, I promise.)

It’s something I wrote years ago, and something I’ve wanted to be able to share with all of you for a while but wasn’t sure how best to do it. Well, if Ferris’ birthday isn’t the right excuse, I don’t know what is.  So, starting Monday, July 10th, I’ll be posting WAITING: A Shift Series Novella piece by piece throughout the week. I’ll tweet and facebook when new sections are posted. Or, to receive an email whenever I post, subscribe to this blog (see the prompt in the column to the right.)

I’m really eager to tell Ferris’ story (and some of Cecelia’s, by extension: bonus)–and eager to hear what you all think.

See you on Monday!

Disclaimer: WAITING would be considered book 3.5 in the Shift Series. In other words, don’t read it if you haven’t read the first three books (SHIFT, RECAST, and DRIFT.) Otherwise, you’ll spoil yourself and be very upset.  It will be even more impactful if you’ve read the final book, STAND, as well (and maybe even Linking.)

Paperbacks Off Sale in 2017

After some serious soul searching (and realistic calendar/schedule and budget observing) I’ve come to the decision to remove the SHIFT, RECAST, and DRIFT paperbacks from distribution.

shift-final-cover-w-desert-bn1.jpgProducing a paperback book is substantially more difficult and time-consuming than producing an ebook. That difficulty and time commitment is part of why I haven’t released STAND in paperback, despite my initial intentions to do so.  I just don’t feel that I can produce a quality paperback right now, and I’d rather have no paperback out in the world than releasing a paperback of poor quality. To top it off, the requirements of my paperback distributor have changed such that my books no longer print with the same level of quality that they once did, and edits are becoming increasingly arduous to make.

So, yeah. It’s time to cut ties.

But there’s still time! I’ll remove them from distribution after the newDRIFT (Shift Series #3) year. So if you’ve been putting off buying SHIFT, RECAST, or DRIFT in paperback, now is the time to do it.

And, who knows, one day I may return to the land of paperbacks. I do love the feeling of a book in my hands, after all.  And when I do return, you’ll all be the first to know.
